Ohara Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is a Japanese pharmaceutical company established in 1964. The company develops and manufactures orphan drugs and generic medicines, with particular expertise in childhood cancers and hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers. Its generic-drug activities emphasise product design intended to reduce medication accidents. Ohara’s wider ambition is to provide total healthcare solutions spanning prevention, diagnosis, treatment and aftercare, including through partnerships in Asia and Africa.
